Scott of the Antarctic.
Captain Scott, after his return from the Antarctic in 'The Discovery' in 1904, was determined to make another voyage. And this he did, in 1909, aboard the 'Terra Nova', an old whaling ship, only to find when he finally reached the Pole, that he had been beaten to it by the Norwegian explorer, Amundsen. Then began the hazardous homeward journey ... a journey that was never to end. Eight months later the bodies of Scott and his men were discovered by a search party.
